Mr. Ted Clemons,  Executive Director

Mr. Clemons has been with the food bank since 2002.  He works closely with our member agencies to both build capacity in alleviating hunger and assure agency safety and operating compliance.  Mr. Clemons also maintains relations with area grocery stores and restaurants to recover near-expiration and other edible but otherwise not-saleable foods.  There are many food processing companies and concerned businesses that are equally committed to hunger-relief in our area and Mr. Clemons procures food, other donations and volunteer efforts from these caring patrons. 
Mr. Clemons a retired Sergeant First Class from the United States Army.  He served three tours of duty in Europe, served as a drill Sergeant for a year and also served a year tour in Operation Desert Storm during the Persian Gulf War.
Mr. Clemons resides in Roland, OK with his wife, Mona, and family.  He is the father of five children:  Nathan, Justin, Jacob, Josh and Brandy.  Mr. Clemons enjoys hunting and fishing, collecting silver and trading cards.

Mr. Ken Kupchick, Director of Marketing and Development

Mr. Kupchick has recently joined the food bank, having had a long and successful career in LTL trucking.  His background includes economic analysis, budgeting, strategic planning, costing, training and skill development, sales administration, marketing, corporate writing, proposal management and business development.  

Mr. Kupchick resides in Fort Smith, AR.  He is actively involved in the community.  He leads an Arts Alliance initiative with the local Chamber of Commerce.  He has been a successful grants writer and fund developer for the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum and served on the art acquisition and opening committees for the Fort Smith Public Library system.  He is the past president of Keep Fort Smith Beautiful with Pride, elevating litter awareness and recycling efforts in the city and led an effort to document area champion trees.  He is an animal welfare advocate who has raised funds and otherwise supported the local Humane Society and spay/neuter clinic, the Fort Smith Kennel Club and the Italian Greyhound Club of America.  His nationally-ranked dog, Martina, was shown at Westminster Dog Show.

Mr. Smith is a graduate of Berean University, Springfield MO, in Pastoral Studies.  He has 9 years of operations experience in temporary/part time employment placement and human resource staffing.  He has spent the last 15 years serving in faith-based community outreach programs.  Mr. Smith is celebrating 17 years of marriage and has three delightful children.
